Vacation!!

Today is the start of a very busy weekend for us.
It is my last day at work for the week.
The kids will be home with me tomorrow and Friday.
Tomorrow we are going to start off the day singing "Happy Birthday to me"..LOL
Then we are going to head down to Andrea's and visit Andrea, Melanie and Brody.
Maybe do a little shopping and some lunch.
At around 2pm we get to head to the airport and pick up Grandma Nuts.
(Grandma Nett) Sounds like nuts when the kids say it, so I am sticking with it :)
Grandma is scheduled to stay with us until May 20th right now.
We can't wait for the additional hands.
Little does she know the kids are much more busy this year than the previous years.
She is going to be worn out!
Back to Thursday now:
Hopefully can get some lunch with Andrea and Melanie and catch up
or catch some flying food from one of the kids.
This next plan; (someone might want to call ryan and give him a heads up),
I want to go to Bonfire for dinner and drinks and then to the movie theatre
to catch Fast Five!! Can't wait to get my Vin Diesel fix. What a great B-day gift.
Oh yeah, Cake would be nice also!! hint hint.... :)
Friday I plan to meet up with a old friend and her two kids for a play date.
Hopefully being able to sneak away for a quick coffee
and leave the all the kids with Grandma Nuts.
Oh, She may want to leave early then huh?
Maybe we should give her some time to adjust?
Nah.................
Who knows what the rest of the weekend will bring,
We will find out!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

A Day for Mothers!!

M... is for the million things she gave me,

O... means only that she's growing old,

T... is for the tears she shed to save me,

H... is for her heart of purest gold;

E... is for her eyes, with love-light shining,

R... means right, and right she'll always be.

Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER," A word that means the world to me. Happy Mothers Day Mom, Grandma and Grandma Nett!! We miss and Love you all every day!!

Some Motherly Advice...

  • Always change your underwear; you never know when you'll have an accident.

  • Don't make that face or it'll freeze in that position.

  • Be careful or you'll put your eye out.

  • What if everyone jumped off a cliff? Would you do it, too?

  • You have enough dirt behind those ears to grow potatoes!

  • Close that door! Were you born in a barn?

  • If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

  • Don't put that in your mouth; you don't know where it's been!

For all the moaning and complaining I can do sometimes (I am pretty good at that!), the joy that being a mom brings me is more amazing than anything I have ever experienced. So this Mother’s Day is all about how grateful I am to be a mom. I told my family I wanted to stay home and do nothing except enjoy the freedom of being in my PJ’s all day long, not worry about the house being clean, and not have to get dolled up for eating out. Just a low key day hanging out with my family and really enjoying them. This job is so darn hard that we get a day singled out for moms to be appreciated! But don’t think about that on Mother’s Day. Instead, I encourage all you moms to take a moment to look at the amazing family YOU have created and recognize that you have the most important job in the world! Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there!!!!

Life with our dog, Tucker.

A pretzel is a type of baked food made from dough in soft and hard varieties and savory or sweet flavors in a unique knot-like shape. The pretzel shape is a distinctive symmetrical looped form, with the ends of a long strip of dough intertwine brought together and then twisted back onto itself in a certain way ("a pretzel loop"). Pretzels made of yeast dough are believed to be of Christian Medieval European origin.
All this being said : Tucker still does not eat Pretzels........

The 2 hours of my life wasted..........

Yep, Here I am spending 2 hours of my life at the Circus.
Best Part : I am with the kids!!

Weekend with the Animals

This is as far as Mason got to the clown. He was kinda nervous.Meghan could care less. She wanted to wear his wittle hat. 2 tickets to the circus $20. 1 box of popcorn, 1 tray of nachos, 1 bag of twizzlers, french fry basket, a fish fillet, and 1 bag of cotton candy $27.75. (all to keep the kids occupied just in case....) 3 toys for the kids to turn on when the lights went out so they didn't get scared $30.00. Spending time with Grandma: Priceless!!!
The Shrine Circus this year was much different from the years I went as a child. I thought it was called a 3 ring Circus.....More like a 1 ring at a time Circus. The only circus stuff they actually had at the Shrine circus in Duluth were elephants
and Tigers. Which were on the other end of the arena from where we sat. So the kids didn't see much of them.

Pigs.... Who has pigs at a circus? What they did???? I have no clue, I couldn't see them.

The best part was this clown named DOO DOO that stood behind the helpless Mother bringing their child over to ride the horses as he carried a rug and swept up her "mess" from behind. ha ha. Amusing to me at the least.
Yep, I will never get back that 2 hours of my life again. Perhaps washing the dishes would have provided more intrigue and excitement for me. One will never know. It's all about the kids though right? They had fun for the most part so I guess it was worth it!! Spending time with Grandma and Grandpa was the absolute best part of the weekend though!
